This Web Site is about the men of Frome, a small market town on the eastern side of Somerset, who died during the Great War and World War Two.
It acts as a perpetual reminder for those who come after, of the supreme sacrifice that was made by them, so that we might live in freedom. It also acts as a memorial, as so many names were omitted from the memorials in and around Frome.
Over 450 men from Frome and the surrounding villages in Somerset lost their lives during the 1914-1918 War and afterwards. 131 lost their lives during World War Two, including the Falklands War. The following pages give you an insight of the person behind the name as far as The Great War is concerned. Published in 2000 "Frome's Fallen Heroes The Great War" has now sold out, but is now available on CD Rom, for £5, plus £1 delivery, local delivery free.
The second book, "Frome's Fallen Heroes World War Two" is now available at £10 a copy, plus £2.95 P&P. Free local delivery. To order a copy, telephone Frome 01373 301929 or use the e mail link below. eBay item
